Benham has developed a variety of designs for dormitories and barracks, as well as for alert crew living quarters. Some were designed to meet the specific project needs for a particular complex, while others have been developed as prototype designs.
Our permanent party dormitories at Lackland AFB can house up to 600 people, usually two to a room. Our new student pipeline dormitories at Sheppard AFB are part of a campus redevelopment and upgrade plan that will include fourteen 600-person dormitories and several new dining facilities. There are many living-quarters amenities as part of the new dorm designs – modern bedrooms, study and training areas, computer access, new dining halls, exercise areas, running tracks, parade / drill grounds, laundry, recreational facilities, shared kitchens, pavilions and plazas.
In support of the nation’s homeland security Noble Eagle mission, Benham has designed living quarters and dorms for the alert aircraft aircrews and pilots. These facilities include mission planning areas, briefing rooms, communication systems and upgraded fire protection for the quarters and adjacent alert hangars.
