Studio Charlotte will be a multi-use development project centered around a full-service film studio, which would be the largest film studio on the East Coast. Ideally suited for a variety of mixed-use purposes supporting the movie industry, the project includes a film school in collaboration with local-area high schools, colleges, and universities in addition to the film studios. – John Rydle, Benham Project Manager

The development will also include retail, office space, hospitality, and residential components, as well as family entertainment and community resources. More than 300 permanent jobs could be generated for the community with the completion of the multi-phase, revitalization project.

Benham provided preliminary design work and site layout and will continue to work with Studio Charlotte on pre-development engineering activities, including survey, environmental studies, utility planning, water and waste water management planning, along with continued design refinement of the site plan.

Benham will lead the architecture, engineering, and construction services for the development.
