Integrated Architecture and Design for Landmark Cancer Facility

Project Description

  • Client:
The University of Oklahoma – Health Sciences Center
  • Location:
    Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The Peggy and Charles Stephenson Oklahoma Cancer Center combines state-of-the-art research, training for the next generation of cancer health professionals, and the most compassionate patient care into one single, convenient location on the campus of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.

As Oklahoma's only comprehensive academic cancer center, and through its recent affiliation with the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, the facility has become the primary venue for adult outpatient cancer treatment in Oklahoma and throughout the central United States region.

Benham provided full A/E design and construction administration services for the design of this new 220,000 SF facility located on the campus of the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The project scope included master planning of the selected site, the design of a new seven-story, outpatient facility and ambulatory cancer treatment center, and the design of a 1,000-car parking garage.
